Every kill, quest and boss on the official server feeds one XP pool. Level and prestige unlock skills, augments and fate sets.
How leveling worksRanked by prestige first, then level, then experience, because level resets each time a character prestiges, so the highest number is not the furthest along. Each player is ranked on their furthest-along character, whichever one they are playing right now.
