Hytale class skill tree

Every class on the official server has an allocatable Class Skill Tree that sits on top of its normal class and augment progression. Your class keeps working the way it always did; the tree stacks on top.

One tab every five prestiges

Your primary class tree opens one evolution tier at a time. Ascension is automatic when you reach the gate, and within a tab the rows open in order: you cannot skip ahead to the row you want.

Prestige 0

Base

Your first rows: the class row, ability picks and weapon mastery.

Prestige 5

Elite

The second tab. Ranks keep climbing; new choice rows open.

Prestige 10

Master

Halfway. Path depth starts to pay real bonuses.

Prestige 15

Legendary

Weapon mastery approaches its rank 15 ceiling.

Prestige 20

Exalted

The final primary tier. Past it, the Endless tab keeps going.

Past Exalted there is an Endless tab: an uncapped Common and Utility augment track that keeps going on prestige alone. The secondary class tree opens at prestige 25 and evolves at 25, 30, 35 and 40.

What a tab is made of

Class row

The tier's class passives, granted automatically when you reach the tier.

Ability rows

One pick per prestige inside a tier, each taking an ability up to the current tier's rank. You do not have every ability at prestige 0.

Weapon mastery

Two weapon picks, each climbing to rank 15 by Exalted. Secondary-class weapons share the same two picks at 3/4 of the bonus.

Stat paths

Two free rows per tier, derived from your class's own innate stat gains and topped up by role.

Choice rows

Three picks per tier against 10-rank tracks: max one option and get halfway through a second, never all three.

Sustain rows

A pick plus its upgrade, two types per evolution, ten ranks across the tree.

Tree grants are stepped units that mirror how your class's own innate stats step: x1 at level 1, x2 at level 50, x3 at level 100 and x5 at level 200. Your class's own innates stay fully live under the tree; the tree adds on top of them.

Damage focus or tank focus: the three paths

Every pick is tagged to one of three paths. Depth is how many live picks you hold on a path, and every grant on that path is multiplied by 1 + min(0.60, 0.03 x depth): a fully committed path pays +60% at depth 20. Class passives are gated by depth rather than scaled, so an option only becomes available once you have committed enough picks to its own path.

SHIELD

The secondary class, and what augments give up

A levelable secondary

A Slayer main with a gun is a real build. Your secondary's base passives, weapons and innate stats join your primary tree the moment you pick it, worth half of a primary grant (weapons and class passives three quarters). Sorcery Mastery and Strength Mastery never come from a secondary. Secondary abilities are planned, not in yet.

Fewer, weaker Common and Utility rolls

In exchange for guaranteed picks, Common arrives at levels 5, 15, 25, 35 and 45, then every 20 levels and every other prestige; Utility recurs every 100 levels; each roll is worth half; and you hold at most 6 Common and 10 Utility rolls of one stat. Elite, Legendary and Mythic are untouched.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Hytale skill tree part of the downloadable Endless Leveling mods?

No. The Class Skill Tree ships with EndlessSkills, which is exclusive to the official Endless Leveling server. The downloadable suite still has classes, races, augments, raids and guilds, but not the tree.

When does the skill tree unlock?

Your primary class tree opens at prestige 0 and adds a tier every five prestiges: Elite at 5, Master at 10, Legendary at 15 and Exalted at 20. The secondary class tree opens at prestige 25 and reaches its final tier at prestige 40.

Can I have all three paths?

You can put picks on all three, but the bonus rewards commitment: every grant on a path is multiplied by 1 + 0.03 per pick on that path, capped at +60% at 20 picks, and some class passives only open once a path is deep enough. Spreading evenly is strictly weaker than specialising.

Does the skill tree replace augments?

No, but it changes the Common and Utility tiers. On the official server Common arrives less often, Utility recurs every 100 levels instead of 50, each of those rolls is worth half, and you can hold at most 6 Common and 10 Utility rolls of one stat. Elite, Legendary and Mythic are untouched.

Can I level a secondary class?

Yes. A secondary class contributes its base-tier passives, its weapons and its innate stats to your primary tree from the moment you pick it, and its own tree opens at prestige 25. Secondary grants are worth half of the primary's, weapons and class passives three quarters. Secondary abilities are planned but not in yet.

Where can I see my build?

Your player profile on this site shows the tree for every character slot: the tier ladder, skill points, path depths, every ability and weapon rank, and the picks you have taken on each tier. Search your name under Players.
