Magic Damage Classes
Magic damage scales off Sorcery, and the seven classes that use it split into two very different jobs. Arcanist and Mage are pure ranged casters, throwing Fireballs and Arcane Bolts from a distance with no melee fallback. BattleMage and Necromancer carry the same Sorcery scaling into melee range instead, weaving spells into a melee combo. And all three Support classes — Bard, Magistrate, Priest — are Magic as well, since buffs, shields and heals scale off the same stat as offensive spells in this system. A Sorcery build therefore covers everything from a glass-cannon Mage to a full healer, which is not true of the narrower Physical or Hybrid pools.
