A weapon rarity and upgrade platform layered over hundreds of adopted third-party Hytale weapons: six tiers from E to S, Essence-fueled leveling, a Forged Cores upgrade system, Lootbags, soulbind, and a full /weapons browser.

What It Adds

  • 146 vanilla weapons and armor pieces Hytale ships fully modelled but leaves unobtainable, revived with real recipes or drop sources.
  • 11 original weapon models, contributed first-party by Minibull and Yoyolegrand.
  • 342 community weapons from 14 creators, adopted in place — the original mod keeps owning every model, animation and effect; Forged only layers a tier and progression system on top. Nothing is copied or redistributed, and every weapon carries a permanent "Original Creator" credit.
  • The /weapons browser — filter every adopted weapon by creator, source mod, type or tier.

Rarity Tiers

Six tiers, E through S. C is the baseline — a weapon's own original, untouched numbers. Every other tier scales off it.

TierMax LevelMain StatSubstatDamage
E50×0.50×1.00×0.70
D60×0.90×1.20×0.85
C70×1.30×1.45×1.00 (baseline)
B80×1.70×1.75×1.15
A90×2.10×2.10×1.30
S100×2.50×2.50×1.35

S is reserved. A weapon can only start at S if it's explicitly allow-listed — right now that's a single bow, Aegos. Every other weapon caps its starting tier at A; the only way to end up with an S-tier copy of anything else is rolling it from a Lootbag (see below).

Leveling a Weapon — Endless Essence

Essence is strictly tier-matched: a C-tier weapon only ever consumes C-tier Essence. There's no cross-tier spending — convert first if you need to.

TierEssence itemTotal Essence to max that tier
EEndless_Essence50
DEndless_Essence_D100
CEndless_Essence_C200
BEndless_Essence_B400
AEndless_Essence_A800
SEndless_Essence_S1,600

Every tier runs the same essence curve — the difficulty is in how rare that tier's Essence is to find, not a bigger number at higher tiers.

  • /weapons levelup [amount] — spend Essence on the weapon in your hand. Leave off the amount to spend up to the next level; a single call spends at most 256 items.
  • /weapons combine <tier> [amount|all] — merge 4 Essence of a tier into 1 of the next tier up.
  • /weapons split <tier> [amount|all] — reverse it, 1 into 4 of the tier below (defaults to splitting just 1, since this shreds the rarer item).

Raising the Cap — Forged Cores & Upgrades

Leveling stalls every 20 levels below a tier's cap. /weapons upgrade spends Forged Cores of the weapon's own tier to lift the gate — it doesn't grant a level by itself, it just opens room to earn one with Essence.

CheckpointCoresRunning total
Lv 20 gate44
Lv 40 gate1014
Lv 60 gate1832
Lv 80 gate2860
Lv 100 gate40100

E and D weapons (cap 50/60) only ever need the first two gates — 14 Cores fully maxes one. C and B (cap 70/80) need 32. A and S (cap 90/100) need 60.

Cores convert the same way Essence does, at a 3-for-1 ratio: /weapons cores combine <tier> [amount] and /weapons cores split <tier> [amount].

Some servers may also charge a small amount of money alongside the Cores — check your server's own settings; it isn't required by default.

Lootbags

A Forged Lootbag is a gamble for a whole weapon. /weapons open consumes the one in your hand and rolls a weapon at or above the bag's own floor tier:

RollChance
Bag's floor tier70%
One tier above20%
Two tiers above7%
Three tiers above2.5%
Four tiers above0.5%

A Lootbag can never roll below its printed floor — the odds above only ever move you up the ladder.

Soulbind

The first player to hold a Forged weapon is recorded as its owner, and the tooltip shows "Soulbound to <name>." That's the whole effect — soulbind is a name tag, not a lock. It doesn't stop the weapon from being traded, dropped, or handed to someone else; the record just survives the trade, so a weapon always remembers where it came from.

Reading a Weapon's Tooltip

Every Forged weapon's tooltip is built the same way, top to bottom:

  1. Name, colored by tier.
  2. Tier & levelTier X · Lv N / Max.
  3. Per-move damage lines, for whichever moves the weapon actually has.
  4. Main Stat — a flat bonus (e.g. Strength 42).
  5. Substat — a percentage bonus, a separate axis from Main Stat (e.g. Haste 12%).
  6. Soulbound line, if the weapon has an owner.
  7. Original Creator attribution — always shown; Forged never hides who made a weapon.

Getting Essence & Cores

  • Elite Mob kills drop tier-matched Essence automatically on servers with the integration turned on — Cores and Lootbags can drop the same way, at a much lower chance.
  • Event placements — finishing top 3 in an Endless Events match can pay out Forged Cores.

Whole weapons and Lootbags themselves aren't yet handed out by any automatic drop table — right now those mainly come from admin grants or special rewards, or from a Lootbag you already have. Ask your server's staff what's currently live if you're not seeing bags drop.

Tips & Tricks

  • Convert before you spend. Don't sit on a stack of E-tier Essence while playing a B-tier weapon — combine it up 4-for-1 until it matches your weapon's tier.
  • An upgrade only opens the door. /weapons upgrade raises the cap but doesn't add a single level itself — always follow it with /weapons levelup or the new levels just sit there unearned.
  • Spend rare Cores deliberately. The Core cost is the same count at every tier (4/10/18/28/40) — an S-tier Core is far rarer to obtain than an E-tier one, so a maxed S-tier weapon is a much bigger investment than the number "60" makes it look. Save your highest-tier Cores for the weapon you actually main.
  • Check both stat lines. Main Stat is a flat number, Substat is a percentage — they're separate axes, so a weapon that looks weaker on Main Stat can still be the better pick for its Substat.
  • Don't fear soulbind. A soulbound weapon is still fully tradeable — it's an attribution tag, not an ownership lock.
  • Any Lootbag is a safe floor. Opening a bag can never roll worse than the tier printed on it, so an E-tier bag is never a wasted open — the 0.5% shot at four tiers up is a bonus, not the point.
  • All three command names work. /weapons, /weapon, and /forged are the same command — use whichever you remember.
